How do I get started to find a nanny?
Simply post a job on our website. We will call you to discuss any questions you may have and which nanny service will suit you best, and let you know when we expect to interview nanny candidates. It's that easy!
Do you send just any nanny to meet us?
No we do not just refer any nanny to you, 50% of the candidates do not pass our phone and face-to-face recruiting process. We will not pass any nannies that we think are looking just for the money. The nannies we send to you will have passed all our Perth Nanny Care nanny requirements. We only send the most successful nannies. This is why it takes a couple of weeks to place the right nanny with your family.
How much notice do I need to give for a booking?
With permanent nanny placements it's great to give as much notice as possible. Minimum two weeks is a good time frame to have a nanny organised for you. It will take between 2 - 4 weeks to find a match for you. Positions with shorter hours will take between 4 - 6 weeks to locate a match. For temporary bookings a week is a good time frame to have someone organised. The more notice the better as we place our temporary nannies in jobs quickly.
What if I don't like the nannies you send to the interview?
You are under no obligation to accept any nanny that we refer and our mission is to find a nanny that you are happy with. If you are not happy with the nannies we send you, we need to review the criteria you have given us, and why you don't like the nannies. We will then do one more recruitment process for you. Placement fee is only paid when you make a job offer to a nanny. We send you the best nannies that are available at the time.
What is required by the ATO when employing a nanny?
To ensure compliance with ATO regulations, regarding employees, the following needs to take place:
- Register for PAYG Withholding.
- Register your employees TFN with the ATO.
- Deduct PAYG Withholding and add superannuation to each payment period.
- Issue payslips compliant with legislation.
- Report and remit superannuation and PAYG quarterly.
- Issue group certificate to your nanny at the end of each financial year.
- Issue annual reconciliation statement to the ATO at the end of each financial year
- All employment records are to be kept for 7 years.

What do I do about superannuation?
For nannies superannuation is required only if a nanny works more than 30 hours per week. Superannuation is calculated at a flat rate of 9% of the gross wage for most employees.The employer collects the superannuation on behalf of the nanny and it is paid into the nannies nominated super fund. Under no circumstances is accumulated superannuation to be given to the nanny. For further information go to the ATO website www.ato.gov.au
What insurance do I need?
You must take out Domestic Workers Compensation Insurance to cover you in the event the nanny has an accident in your home. We can provide you with number to call for a quote.
Can I claim a childcare Benefit or Rebate for my nanny?
Yes our nannies help you claim your payment as long as you're eligible. The Rebate is only available for a nanny if you have special circumstances. You need to check with The Family Assistance Office if you're eligible for the Childcare Benefit or Rebate. You can then apply and claim your payment through the Department of Human Services. What if I don't feel the nanny we employ is a match and I change my mind?
If for some reason you are not happy with the nanny once contract has started you have eight weeks guarantee to change your mind and we will replace her free of charge. We value your feedback during the nanny placement and we will call you the first week, email you and then it is up to you to keep us posted how you are going with your nanny.
